Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager/ Senior Finance Manager to join our team in the real estate, development, or construction industry. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of comprehensive experience in financial management, with a proven track record of managing complex financial operations within the industry. This role requires an individual who possesses strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset to drive the financial performance of large-scale projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our operations and ensuring the smooth execution of financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial management function across real estate development, construction, and property management projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets for various development and construction projects, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Provide financial guidance and analysis to senior management and project managers for project cost control, profitability assessments, and cash flow management.
  • Manage project financing and liaise with banks, lenders, and investors to secure funding and ensure timely access to capital for ongoing projects.
  • Evaluate financial performance and recommend improvements, including cost-saving measures, efficiency initiatives, and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and financial models, ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with the legal and procurement teams to ensure contracts are aligned with financial objectives, mitigating financial risks.
  • Ensure the integrity of the financial records, including managing audit processes and implementing financial controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance with industry standards and statutory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of junior finance professionals, providing leadership, training, and development opportunities.
  • Manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for ongoing projects and operations.
  • Review and approve financial transactions, including project costs, payments, and revenue recognition.
  • Establish strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, developers, investors, and suppliers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s or professional certifications such as CPA, CFA preferred).
  • At least 15 years of experience in finance management, with a focus on the real estate, development, or construction industries.
  • Proven track record of managing the financial operations of large-scale projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, and project finance in the real estate and construction sectors.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws specific to the real estate and construction industries.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data and complex information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing junior finance professionals.
  • Proficient in financial software (ERP systems, spreadsheets, accounting software) and advanced MS Excel skills.
