Job Description

 🔹 Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment, machinery, electrical systems, and facilities.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues.
  • Ensure minimal downtime and quick response to breakdowns.

2. Equipment & Facility Management

  • Install, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment (e.g., stoves, ovens, refrigerators, chillers, air-conditioning units).
  • Inspect and maintain building utilities such as lighting, wiring, piping, and water supply.
  • Monitor safety and efficiency of facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

3. Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Maintain service logs, repair records, and maintenance schedules.
  • Report recurring issues and recommend solutions to management.
  • Keep inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Follow safety guidelines during repair and maintenance work.
  • Ensure all equipment complies with regulatory and health standards.
  • Support workplace safety inspections and audits.

5. Support & Teamwork

  • Assist in setup or relocation of equipment when required.
  • Provide technical support to staff regarding safe and proper use of equipment.
  • Coordinate with external contractors or vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.

 
 


Job Requirements

 🔹 Required Skills & Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Hands-on skills in troubleshooting and repairing kitchen/industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
  • Familiarity with tools, measuring devices, and safety equipment.
  • Good problem-solving skills & attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly in urgent situations.

🔹 Qualifications

  • Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facility Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • Prior experience as a Technician or Maintenance staff (F&B / hospitality industry an advantage).
  • Physically fit and willing to work on-call or during off-hours if emergencies arise.
