Summary

Our client, an established manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced HR professional to lead their human resources operations. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, industrial relations, compliance, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment and capable of managing HR issues as they arise, while ensuring alignment with ISO standards and social audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities  

  1. HR Operations & Compliance
  • Manage the full spectrum of HR operations, including payroll, compensation and benefits, leave management, and employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Oversee social audit preparations and liaise with auditors to ensure alignment with client and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle all aspects of foreign worker management, including permit applications, renewals, accommodation coordination, and compliance with immigration and labour laws.

2. Talent Management & Performance

  • Lead the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely and fair evaluations across departments.
  • Support line managers in goal setting, performance coaching, and identifying training needs.
  • Coordinate learning and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career progression.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries and concerns, providing guidance and resolving issues professionally and promptly.
  • Organize and coordinate HR events and activities to foster a positive workplace culture and enhance employee engagement.
  • Promote open communication between management and staff to maintain a harmonious working environment.

4. Recruitment & Workforce Planning

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for local and foreign workers, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Liaise with relevant government agencies and recruitment agents to support manpower planning and hiring targets.

5. Policy Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Review and update HR policies and procedures to align with current laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency and employee experience.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of HR experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Able to communicate fluently in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English. 
  • Strong knowledge of full-spectrum HR operations, including payroll, foreign worker management, and social audits.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and audit processes.
  • Experience in organizing HR events and employee engagement activities.
  • Proven ability to handle employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond calmly under pressure.
