Job Description

 Job Purpose

The Senior Accounts Executive will collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure that monthly accounts are closed accurately and in a timely manner. This position is responsible for managing the complete set of accounts, supporting finance operations, and coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and reporting precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete set of accounts, which involves recording journal entries and conducting monthly reconciliations for designated entities.
  • Timely and accurately prepare month-end reports for submission.
  • Develop supporting schedules for financial statements and carry out GL analysis & reconciliation.
  • Examine and resolve unreconciled or unusual transactions.
  • Generate and deliver intercompany tax invoices promptly.
  • Monitor the timely processing of intercompany settlements and applicable withholding taxes.
  • Assess and validate monthly staff reimbursement claims.
  • Accurately submit SST filings on a monthly basis and on time.
  • Review the work of Accounts Personnel (AR, AP & Cash Book) to ensure precision and punctuality.
  • Guarantee accurate documentation filing and organized record keeping.
  • Provide assistance in generating ad-hoc reports and daily finance tasks as necessary.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and internal auditors, and prepare necessary audit documents.
  • Accurately update collections in the cash book and Accounts Receivable.
  • Collaborate with the company secretary on resolutions and with banks regarding treasury issues.
  • Work closely with regional finance teams for monthly and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Help monitor banking facilities, signatories, and authorization levels.

Job Requirements

  • At least an LCCI Higher, a partially completed professional qualification, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance 
  • 2–3 years of applicable experience in managing full sets of accounts  
  • Excellent proficiency in English
  • Skilled in MS Office, particularly Excel 
  • Knowledge of the ACCPAC accounting system
