Job Description

 Primary Function:

• Act as procurement coordinators to locate and assess potential suppliers for mechanical products and services based on defined specifications or requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Tasked with identifying potential suppliers for mechanical products and services for subsequent approval.
• Accountable for preparing and issuing RFQs to vendors.
• Responsible for overseeing and following up on the sourcing of mechanical products and services in alignment with specifications and requirements.
• Coordinate with selected vendors regarding the agreed purchase terms concerning quality, pricing, terms, and services.
• Engage with vendors to oversee their production capacity and adaptability to meet daily demands.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and pinpoint areas for potential savings.
• Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).

Job Requirements

• Possession of at least a Diploma in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in procurement or sourcing within a manufacturing environment, ideally with a focus on metal stamping or plastic injection molding.
• Excellent negotiation skills with attention to detail. A proactive, outgoing personality capable of interacting with various stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines for RFQs and NPI project coordination. Proficient in English and skilled in Microsoft Excel.
