Responsibilities
• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and strategy within the group of companies.
• Preparing and filing tax returns, developing tax-saving strategies, managing relationships with tax authorities, ensuring tax risks are mitigated and keeping the organization in compliance with ever-evolving tax laws.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tax-related issues, working closely with other business units and external advisors.
• Strong technical expertise in tax law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex tax matters are crucial for success in this role.

Requirements
• Professional certificate (ACCA/CPA is preferred).
• Worked in tax firm before for more than 5 years experience in Malaysia and SEA market - managerial experience 2-3 years would be preferred.
• Strong experience with tax compliance, including preparing and filing various tax returns (corporate income tax, WHT, VAT/GST, personal taxes, etc.) is critical. Handling tax audits and working with tax authorities is also a plus.
• Experience in tax planning, structuring transactions, and providing tax-saving advice will be highly beneficial. This includes experience with business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and transfer pricing.
• Experience with cross-border tax issues, including understanding tax treaties, international tax planning, WHT, and VAT/GST, will be important.
