Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise shift personnel, including Process Technicians, Boilermen, and Lab Technicians, to ensure smooth plant operations.
  2. Monitor and optimize process parameters to meet production targets and improve efficiency.
  3. Ensure product quality compliance by working closely with the Lab team and addressing process deviations.
  4. Troubleshoot operational issues, respond to process upsets, and make real-time decisions to maintain plant stability.
  5. Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  6. Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  7. Lead shift handovers, report operational issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Maintain accurate shift reports, production records, and compliance documentation.
  9. Participate in safety briefings, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  10. Support process improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize energy consumption.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process operations, preferably in biodiesel, oleochemical, petrochemical, or refinery plants.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a shift-based production environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) is an advantage.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Willing to work on a shift basis and be based in Port Dickson.
