PichaEats is a social enterprise that empowers the displaced communities through food. As an Operations Intern, you'll be at the heart of our daily operations, ensuring every meal, catering event, and logistics process runs smoothly. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

What You'll Do

Daily Operations

• Assist with day-to-day catering operations.
• Support meal packing and ensure orders are packed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with different teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Assist with inventory, equipment, and operational readiness.

Logistics & Deliveries

• Arrange and coordinate deliveries using platforms such as Lalamove, Grab, and other logistics partners.
• Communicate with drivers and delivery partners to ensure timely deliveries.
• Track deliveries and troubleshoot any logistical issues.
• Support route planning to improve delivery efficiency.

Catering Operations

• Assist with catering setup, service, and breakdown.
• Attend catering events, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or public holidays.
• Ensure catering equipment and supplies are prepared before each event.
• Support the operations team during peak production periods.

Process Improvement

• Assist in updating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Support documentation and administrative tasks related to operations.

Team Support

• Work closely with chefs, operations, logistics, production and community teams.
• Participate in team training sessions and operational meetings.
• Contribute to creating a positive and collaborative working environment.

• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and apps.
• Confident using logistics platforms such as Lalamove, Grab, and similar delivery services.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Able to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment.

• Willing to learn, adapt, and continuously improve.
• A team player who communicates well with different stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree student (or recent graduate) in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Hospitality, Event Management, or related fields.
• Comfortable with physical work, including packing, lifting, and preparing catering equipment when required.
• Willing to work beyond regular office hours when operational needs arise. Overtime will be compensated according to company policy.
• Willing to travel to catering venues and operational sites.
• Having your own transport is an added advantage, as there may be occasional ad hoc errands or site visits.
• Able to commit for at least 3-6 months.
