Role Summary

Purchasing Executive sources suppliers, manages product costing and handles the full purchase cycle from PO issuance through to goods receipt and invoice matching.

Key Responsibilities

1. Source and evaluate vendors, and negotiate pricing and terms
2. Check and verify product costs before purchase
3. Update and maintain costing data in the system
4. Issue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on delivery timelines
5. Process goods receipt and match purchase invoices against POs and delivery orders
6. Coordinate with sales, warehouse and accounts on stock and order requirements
7. Maintain accurate supplier records and purchasing documentation
8. Monitor stock levels and flag reorder needs

Job Requirements

Requirements

• At least 2 years of purchasing experience; background in equipment, machinery or trading is an advantage
• Familiar with PO, goods receipt and invoice matching processes
• Comfortable working with ERP or accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English, including with overseas suppliers
• Careful with numbers and details, and able to manage multiple orders at once
• Good negotiation skills and able to work well with internal teams
