Job Description

IT auditor role with the relevant technical competency to support IT audit coverage in view of the emerging risk and technology.

 

Job Responsibilities  
•    Assist Head of Internal Audit in developing the annual Internal Audit Plan.
•    Lead and perform IT audits including audit scoping, evaluation, testing, reporting and issue follow-up and recommend improvement of internal controls
•    Execute audits on various processes, technologies, and platforms, encompassing IT Governance, Infrastructure, Network, Applications, Emerging technologies etc, including Cybersecurity.
•    Identify technology risks and recommend appropriate controls based on risk level, business requirements, and feasibility of implementation.
•    Develop and maintain audit programmes
•    Develop and implement tools to analyze data to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness of Audit Team by supporting/training the team on usage of data analytics for continuous auditing.
•    Prepare and deliver clear, concise and effective communication, both oral and written, to all levels of management.
•    Attend various audit meetings and prepare minutes of meetings, where necessary.
•    Perform ad hoc audits and investigations on areas of concern as and when required 
•    Assist the Head of Internal Audit on all other internal audit related matters

 

Education & Relevant Experience & Years of Service
•    Bachelors degree in IT/MIS or equivalent , preferably with CISA certification
•    At least five years of work experience in managing IT internal audit assignments.
•    Related experience in large audit/consultation firms is an added advantage

 

Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge
•    Proficient in internal auditing standards (eg GTAG)
•    Sound knowledge of IT related matters and accounting principles
•    Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and industry standards
•    Experience in ISMS,COBIT or any other audit framework is an added advantage

•    Self motivated and independent
•    Good organizational/problem solving/analytical skills
•    Punctual and reliable, with good time management skills
•    Excellent communication/writing skills (including oral communication, report writing, and presentation skills)
•    Good conflict resolution skills
