Summary
The Logistics Project Manager will lead and manage the implementation of various logistics projects. This includes designing and implementing new Distribution Centers (DCs), automation solutions, and efficiency improvements. This person will manage project timelines and budgets and maintain quality standards as well as adhere to the company’s logistics and operational strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all projects within logistics, including the design and construction and automation of DCs.
- Oversee and manage DC construction and infrastructure development whilst adhering to operation requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors to integrate automation solutions, including robotics and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and related deliverables, ensuring adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Align project objectives with company goals through collaboration with procurement, sales, and IT teams.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans to address challenges to ensure smooth execution.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements and innovative solutions.
- Ensure all projects comply with all safety, health, and environmental standards as well as adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Engage with stakeholders by providing regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports and cost analyses.
- Manage and train cross-functional teams involved in project execution.
- Manage new warehouse, racking and sprinkler projects.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for the company’s culture and values both internally and externally.

Qualification, Relevant Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
- At least 3 years of experience managing DC development and automation projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and project management.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation technologies.
- Knowledge and experience in SAP will be advantageous.
- Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
