Job Description

1. Tax Compliance

* Prepare and review corporate and individual tax computations in accordance with the Income Tax Act 1967

* Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns

* Review tax payments and estimated tax liabilities

* Maintain proper documentation in compliance with LHDN requirements

2. Tax Advisory

* Provide support on Malaysian tax advisory matters including withholding tax (WHT), tax incentives, capital allowances, and exemptions

* Assist in tax planning strategies to improve tax efficiency while ensuring compliance

3. Liaison & Communication

* Liaise with LHDN on tax queries, audits, and investigations

* Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders

* Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients when required

4. Supervision & Reporting

* Review work completed by junior staff and provide guidance

* Share updates on new tax regulations and public rulings

* Prepare tax reports and analysis for management

Job Requirements

Education & Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
• Professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / ICAEW / MICPA) is an added advantage

Experience

• 2–4 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a professional services firm

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and LHDN guidelines
• Familiar with MyTax and MySST portals

Additional Requirement

• Able to communicate in Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients
