Job Description

1. Tax Compliance

•  Prepare and review corporate and individual tax computations in accordance with Malaysian tax regulations
•  Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and statutory filings
•  Review tax provisions, payments, and estimated tax liabilities
•  Ensure full compliance with LHDN requirements

1. Tax Advisory

•  Provide advisory on Malaysian tax matters including withholding tax (WHT), tax incentives, capital allowances, and exemptions
•  Support tax planning strategies to improve tax efficiency while ensuring compliance
•  Assist clients with tax audits, investigations, and appeals

1. Liaison & Client Management

•  Liaise with LHDN, clients, and external auditors on tax-related matters
•  Handle client enquiries and maintain strong professional relationships

1. Leadership & Review

•  Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance
•  Monitor team progress to ensure deadlines are met
•  Share updates on tax regulations and best practices

Job Requirements

Education & Qualification

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
•  Professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / CIMA / MICPA) is preferred

Experience

•  Minimum 4–6 years of relevant tax experience
•  Experience in a professional services firm is an advantage

Technical Skills

•  Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and LHDN guidelines
•  Familiar with MyTax / MySST portals

Soft Skills

•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•  Good communication and client management skills
•  Able to work independently and lead a team
