The Role

We are looking for an energetic and tech-savvy Administrative Assistant Intern to support office operations, program logistics, and social media communications.

This is a hands-on, 3-month paid internship (RM1,000/month), ideal for someone eager to learn how a social enterprise operates while gaining skills in administration, events, and communications. The role includes both desk-based tasks and practical errands to keep our programs running smoothly. Outstanding interns may be considered for longer-term roles with Project TRY.

Responsibilities Include

  • Processing receipts, invoices, and reimbursements accurately and on time.
  • Booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and venues; comparing options for cost-effectiveness.
  • Supporting program logistics (transport, catering, accommodation, materials, supplies).
  • Maintaining organized digital and physical filing systems.
  • Assisting at workshops/events, including registration and documentation.
  • Capturing photos and short videos of events for reporting and communications.
  • Providing ad-hoc administrative assistance to the CEO and project leads.

Who We're Looking For

  • Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and social media platforms.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Bonus: Interest/experience in education, volunteering, or community development; basic design skills (Canva or equivalent), and experience with social media content creation.

Job Requirements

  • Based in Kuala Lumpur, with ability to attend 1-2 in-person meetings weekly, or as needed.
  • Possess own laptop and mobile phone for daily work.
  • Able to work flexible hours when events/programs require it.
  • Open to occasional travel to rural Sabah (expenses covered).
