To lead the strategic execution and delivery of Governance, Operational Resilience framework at the local level, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide standards, governance expectation and requirements. The role will drive Governance and implementations of resilience capabilities across functions, embedding a culture of preparedness and ensuring in execution in line with Group and PBTB’s direction.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and operationalization of Operational Resilience framework, policy. Ensure governance, oversight, and assurance mechanisms are in place to monitor adherence and drive continuous improvement. and scenario planning exercises to assess organization’s readiness.
  • Promote and champion a governance and resilient culture through awareness campaigns, training rollouts, and engagement aligned with Group initiatives.
  • Strategically coordinate divisional planning, assessment, and resilience testing efforts in alignment with Group’s timelines and expectations. Oversee business continuity programme execution associated with resilience requirements.
  • Oversees the identification and management of important business services and impact assessment during disruption. Manage the process of stressed service assessments, scenario-based analysis.
  • Deliver regular reporting to Management and Group on resilience status, maturity, gaps and actions plans. Facilitate Board and Senior Management oversight through structured reporting and scenario testing reviews. Maintain documentation related to risk management and compliance. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of risk-related information
  • Establish and maintain governance structures and processes, ensure adherence to governance policies and procedures. Oversee compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing governance processes and recommend improvements to reduce risk exposure and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and track existing incidents and audit activities to ensure timely closures and no further escalation. Ensure preventive and corrective measures for incidents and audits are implemented or executed accordingly.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, IT, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Governance, Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Risk Management is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Operational Resilience, Risk, or Governance roles within financial services.
  • Proven track record in leading governance reporting, scenario testing, resilience programs/planning, performance monitoring and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of BNM regulatory frameworks, BASEL principles, BCM standards, FATCA / CRS.
  • Familiarity with Operational Risk Management Framework in Insurance / Takaful / Banking/ financial services environment
  • Strategic thinking and regulatory interpretation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management.
  • Analytical skills with experience in resilience metrics and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with governance tools and risk management platforms.
