SUMMARY OF DEPARTMENT FUNCTION IN THE ORGANIZATION:
Bank reconciliation function is responsible for the day-to-day bank reconciliation operational tasks following the applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements and guidelines, and internal policies and procedures.
SCOPE OF WORK/RESPONSIBILITIES
Having a balance of both Key Assignment and Administrative work will enable the intern to be productive and gain a well-rounded learning experience
Perform bank reconciliation and investigation on outstanding unreconciled items.
Follow-up with banks and internal departments on outstanding unreconciled items.
Monitor all outstanding unreconciled items and ensure timely resolution and closure of the outstanding unreconciled items.
Clearing and matching of outstanding unreconciled items by referring to the relevant supporting documents.
Assist the Bank Reconciliation Team with any ad hoc & administrative tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
Pursuing Bachelor or Professional Degree in finance, accountancy, banking, investment, economics or equivalent.
Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Good work ethics with a positive attitude.
Responsible and willing to learn.
