Job Summary
The key responsibility of the incumbent is to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the product program implementation process by managing the cross functional project teams to achieve organization desired objectives and leading a team by distribution channel. This person is expected to support the assigned tasks, assist to drive and manage the execution of functional business’ deliverables which contributes to the implementation of product delivery. Introducing process improvement for greater efficiency is expected to ensure all stakeholders’ interest are safeguarded. Life product knowledge and project management is an advantage but not compulsory. Ability to assist in drawing connections between different process and stakeholders to ensure overall objectives are achieved.

JOB SCOPE:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Dedicated lead to manage and oversee Banca/agency channels & with influence skills to dealing with IT.
  • To lead the team as deputy PPM head
  • To drive end-to-end delivery Product Implementation Committee (PIC) on end-to-end delivery & implementation for products/ initiatives/ projects as per roadmap especially on complex product and project implementation including regulatory changes, new features/system capabilities consist of planning, to strategize, to manage, to communicate and to initiate issues-resolution especially on critical issues.
  • Stakeholder management cross function departments from planning, formulize and execute collectively on agreed strategies for product/initiative/project implementation including to initiate issues-resolution with influence and negotiate power specially to interact to higher level if escalation is required.
  • Assist to introduce process improvement between relevant departments involved at different stages of product/project implementation process.
  • To initiate issues-resolution arising from the assigned project to expedite the entire implementation cycle and upwards escalation to superior as and when required and/or Product Steering Committee for endorsement, if applicable.
  • Identify risks to deliverables; develop and implement mitigation actions and/or plans.
  • A strong driven personality and proactively to identify risks to deliverables for complex product/project; develop and implement mitigation actions and/or plans including escalation to senior management.
  • To support regulatory requirements, Day 2 items including procedure update and audit issue.
  • To manage UAT activities by consolidating various systems testing timeline, managing UAT resources and testers, and ensuring the UAT activities are executed according to plan
  • To plan, monitoring, track new product post launch including recommendation to PDSC and to seek PSC’s approval.
  • Able to coach and provide support to subordinator
  • Performs any ad-hoc assignment/projects as assigned by superior.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

  • Degree from a recognized University preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Insurance Studies, Actuarial Science, etc..

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years working experience
  • Experience in Life Insurance Industry with basic operational knowledge in Life Administration, Insurance Products, Agency Administration & Finance would be an added advantage.

  • Microsoft excel and Power Point skills are crucial in performing this job well
