Role Purpose:
This is one of the core functions in Finance. This role performs Business Partnering and Performance Management as well as provides support to CEO and CFO for corporate activities. This role manages the on-time and on-quality delivery of a complete Business Plan as part of the annual cycle, interfacing with various stakeholders, oversees the analysis, preparation, and communication of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the Company to enable decision-making for outcomes to meet the overall business objective for the Company.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Review and finalise monthly Business Performance reports which include Financial and non-Financial measures in line with Company’s strategic direction and Business Plan.
Analysis (variance, trend, ratios) performed timely, with highlights and recommendations for course-corrective actions.
Commentaries which accompany analysis concise and clear for decision-making and actions.
Collate, review and finalise Quarterly Forecasts and Quarterly Business Plan Reviews (QBPR) which include financial and non-financial measures in line with Company’s strategic direction and Business Plan.
Analysis (variance, trend, ratios) performed timely, with highlights and recommendations for revisions or course-corrective actions.
Consistency and cohesion across various sections with document and relevant documents.
Perform market research, identify market trends and outlook, provide insights and market intelligence to assist EXCO formulation of strategies and plans.
Partner functions with the Company for relevant consumer, product, distribution, regulatory insights and trends.
Analyse, distill and communicate monthly industry statistics received from ISM (Insurance Services Malaysia).
Manage the Annual Business Planning and Incentive Bonus process in line with Company’s strategic direction.
Drive timelines and quality of company-wide Business Plan (BP) and Annual Incentive Bonus (AIB) submissions.
Keen understanding of quantitative measurements especially financials, partnering with Finance and Actuarial Services functions.
Analysis (variance, trend, ratios) performed timely, with highlights and recommendations for revisions or course-correction.
Adapt and bridge expectations from Regional and Group offices to Malaysian market and Company context.
Job Requirements:
Tertiary education, preferably in the field of Actuarial Science/Finance/Accounting/Family Takaful or Life Insurance Marketin
Minimum 10 years Takaful/Insurance industry experience or provided consulting/assurance/advisory services to Takaful/Insurance industry in Malaysia.
Proven track record of stakeholder management, from mid to senior levels.
Knowledge in Takaful/Life insurance business.
Experience with Shariah application for Takaful and added advantage.
Professional Qualification or Islamic Finance Certification added advantage.
