Role Purpose
- The Senior Project Manager plays a vital role at program level in overseeing and managing medical repricing and product projects or selected strategic projects (if any assignment) within the organization.
- To ensure successful delivery of project within scope, schedule, resources, and cost and able to manage Complex to Mega size (up to RM3-5mil or above) of projects.
- Overseeing the planning and implementation of an entire medical repricing / product projects through budgeting, resource planning, work out solutions and planning the project release and project prioritization with project owners to ensure successful projects delivery.
- Manage subordinate PMO team (2-5 PMs and test manager), monitor PM performance and provides guidance; collaborates with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to achieve project goals, optimize project / financial outcomes, and contribute to the organization's overall project success.
- Assist HOD for Prioritization Steering Committee (PrSC) for better exposure in Enterprise Project Management and alternate person in the absence of HOD

- Managing the projects in accordance to Prudential Project Management Policy (GoldBook / PruAgile) and PruBSN PMO standard practices
Key Accountabilities
- Project Proposal / Business Development
- Project Planning and Execution
- Deliver assigned projects and enhancements in accordance to company’s needs.
- Coordinate Go-Live Readiness Assessment and manage cutover activities
- Manage the projects in accordance to Prudential project management policy
- Ensure projects are manage in accordance to local regulations
- Participate in the steering committee (eg. Medical repricing SteerCo, Product SteerCo, PDSC) to ensure executive management well informed of the project progress and address the risks and issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, such as product & operation teams, subject matter experts, vendors, and executive management, to ensure clear communication, alignment of project goals, and successful delivery.
- Provide regular project updates, presentations, and status reports to project team and senior stakeholders.
- Participate in process improvement on productivity, operational efficiencies and cost saving
- Develop and manage realistic and comprehensive project plan to ensure efficient use of resources and effective use of budget
- Identify and assess potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines, financial outcomes, or overall project success.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize program and project risks
- Support PMO quality improvement initiatives and implementation
- Provide team leadership and guidance to subordinate project managers and project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and support the professional development of team members.
- Overseeing the testing management, test strategy and test plan with test manager to ensure UAT planning and execution on right track, continuously improve the quality of testing, UAT reporting and manage the impact or delay of UAT to the projects with corrective action or resolution.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT/Business or any related discipline
- Minimum Ten (10) years working experience with minimum Eight (8) years industry experience in various project management, product, corporate / strategic projects, or IT related projects.
- Proven experience (Minimum 5 years) as a Project Manager in Insurance / Financial Industry related projects, demonstrating a solid understanding of Insurance or financial management principles, processes, and systems is preferred.
- Excellent overall project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience managing complex to mega size projects or program management (project value with RM3-5 million or above).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management (include executive management) abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present complex solution/ information to stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project managers, project teams toward successful project outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral & written
