Job Description

 Be a content creator for one of Malaysia's biggest homegrown outdoor brands.

TAHAN Outdoor is a Malaysian camping and outdoor gear brand — 9 years running, 100,000+ customers. We make a lot of content: YouTube campsite reviews, TikToks, Shorts, Instagram, and ads. We need an intern who can cut short-form video fast and well.

What you'll actually do:

• Cut 2–3 short-form clips (TikTok/Shorts/Reels) from every long YouTube video we film
• Edit and caption content in BM and English
• Join indoor shoots 2 days a week at our Mutiara Damansara office — operate the camera, handle setup, grab b-roll
• Occasionally join outdoor campsite shoots (yes, you'll get out of the office and into nature)
• Organize footage after shoot days so nothing gets lost
• Post and schedule content across platforms

What you must have (non-negotiable):

• A portfolio link. TikTok account, YouTube channel, Google Drive folder — anything that shows video you've edited. Applications without a portfolio link will not be reviewed. This is the first filter.
• Confident short-form editing in CapCut (or Premiere/DaVinci)
• Bilingual — you can write natural captions in both Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Own laptop
• Able to commit 2 fixed in-person days/week in Mutiara Damansara for 6 months

Big plus if you:

• Already use AI tools in your workflow (auto-captions, AI voiceover, image generation, etc.) — or you're genuinely curious to learn. We use AI heavily (Higgsfield, Kling, Claude) to work faster, not lazier. We'll teach you the tools; you bring the mindset.
• Like the outdoors, or at least don't mind a campsite

How we hire:

1. Apply with your portfolio link
2. Shortlisted candidates get a paid test task (we send raw footage, you cut a 45-second Short, we pay you for it)
3. Short interview
4. Start: first week of October 2026

Why this internship isn't coffee runs:

You'll ship real content to real audiences from week one, with a clear weekly target and direct mentorship from the founder (who is also the on-camera talent, so you'll see the whole machine). If you're great, there's a path to a full-time junior role.
