In business partnering at PwC, you will focus on strategic consulting with business stakeholders, advising on people strategies, policies and programmes to achieve current and future business objectives and overcome people related challenges. You will work collaboratively with the wider HR team to shape the Firm’s people strategy and priorities based on their understanding of the business as well as influence the business alignment with and adoption of firmwide direction.

Role specific responsibilities

  • Assist the HRBP Manager to drive people strategy and initiatives in partnership with local leaders and HR teams (talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation and benefits, HR shared services) in line with people policies and business priorities. This includes workforce planning, performance management, talent management and employee experience. 

  • Be a trusted liaison between staff and leaders and role model PwC’s values 

  • Work with the businesses to identify and anticipate immediate and future people needs, and develop practical solutions 

  • Have a point of view on people policies and practices, and be able to internalise, implement and regularly review practices to ensure we remain an employer of choice

  • Assist the HRBP Manager to drive the annual performance and rewards review cycle, including goal setting, performance reviews, bonus allocation and salary increments. 

  • Manage, provide advice on, and resolve employee relations issues

  • Ensure timely reporting to stakeholders

  • Ensure that all requests and questions from employees are attended to efficiently

  • Develop and implement staff engagement strategy incorporating best practices and data points from internal employee surveys 

Minimum years experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Fresh graduates who are keen to embark a career in HR are also encouraged to apply

  • For applicants with work experience, 1-2 years’ progressive HR experience (HR consulting, HR Generalist, HR & administration experience) gained with multinational companies ideally in fast-changing industries

  • HR knowledge of Malaysia local and expat employment practices and labour laws is desirable

  • Excellent stakeholder management

  • Strong business acumen

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, agile with change
