A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. Our team assists clients with their capital investments, assessing which allowances, incentives and grants are available and identifying which expenditure is qualifying and eligible - covering areas such as Capital Allowances, Reinvestment Allowances, Investment Tax Allowances and Green Incentives.We are looking to recruit an individual at Manager level with experience of Capital Allowances and Incentives and are keen to hear from people who are passionate about innovation, getting to know a broad range of businesses and having a direct role in growing our Capital Allowances practice.
We are particularly focussed on candidates able to support us in:
● Providing support on capital allowances, reinvestment allowances and other incentives, claim preparation and technical advice, designing and building fixed asset technology solutions, across various sectors from a Capital Allowances and Incentives perspective
● Managing a portfolio of a variety clients and project delivery across these
● Preparation of Capital Allowance claims for submission to local tax authorities and assessment and application for various incentives, allowances, regulations and grants
● Managing client engagements and developing strong relationships with both our clients and internal stakeholders
● Preparing responses to or liaising with local authorities with regard to queries they have on Capital Allowance claims and incentives/grant applications on behalf of our clients
● Advising clients and internal stakeholders on tax technical points
● Supervising juniors undertaking the work and apprising more senior stakeholders of progress
● Helping to identify and develop new business development opportunities, including involvement in proposing for work
● Working collaboratively with a strong team focus
Requirements
● Experience or qualifications in quantity surveying, valuations or construction technology is welcomed, but not required.
● Experience of working in a tax environment, preferably in Capital Allowances
● Excellent working knowledge of tax incentives and experience in preparing Capital Allowances claims
● Strong project management skills – able to manage several live projects at once and plan own workload
● Excellent communication skills – the candidate will be expected to be the point of contact on the projects they manage supporting a range of stakeholders including client contacts, colleagues in the team and also in the wider tax practice
● Coaching and delegation – the successful candidate will help other Managers and Senior Managers in the team coach and delegate a growing team of associates supporting the Capital Allowances team, helping them grow their technical expertise alongside their soft skills
● Good written skills including report writing, technical memo drafting and concise advice notes for sharing with clients
● Analytical skills for numerical analysis of client data
● High level of integrity and professionalism to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
