About the Role

At Pyrope Industries, procurement is not just about placing orders. It directly impacts production efficiency, cost control and delivery performance.

As our Purchaser, you will be responsible for ensuring the right materials are sourced at the right price, quality and timeline — especially rubber compounds, chemicals, metal inserts and industrial components.

This role requires strong negotiation skills, cost awareness and manufacturing understanding.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

• Source rubber raw materials, additives, chemicals and industrial supplies
• Identify and evaluate new suppliers for better pricing and quality
• Compare quotations and analyse cost structures
• Negotiate pricing, lead time and payment terms
   

Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery consistency, responsiveness)
• Resolve supply or pricing disputes professionally
   

Procurement Planning & Coordination

• Work closely with Production Planner to understand material requirements
• Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders
• Track deliveries to prevent production delays
• Maintain procurement records and documentation
   

Cost Control & Optimisation

• Monitor market price trends of raw materials
• Identify cost-saving opportunities
• Propose alternative suppliers or materials when appropriate
   

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain proper purchase documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies
• Prepare simple procurement reports when required

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years experience in procurement within manufacturing industry
• Experience in sourcing industrial materials preferred
• Familiarity with rubber, plastic, or industrial component purchasing is a strong advantage
   

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Good analytical and cost comparison ability
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel (cost comparison sheets, tracking)
• Understanding of production workflow is a plus
