As a Finance Manager, you will lead Qra’s finance and accounting functions, reporting directly to the Finance Director and Founder/CEO. You’ll oversee the full spectrum of financial operations — from reporting and cash flow management to compliance and planning. Beyond managing the numbers, you’ll support operational decision-making, drive profitability through cost and margin optimisation, and build a strong finance team that enables Qra’s growth.
Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
· Oversee daily finance operations including including accounts payable (trade & non-trade), accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management.
· Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Monitor inventory accounting, shrinkage, and stock adjustments to ensure accuracy of COGS and margins.
· Manage balance sheet schedules and ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements.
Budgeting & Forecasting
· Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
· Analyze variances against budget/forecast and share actionable insights.
· Track and report on key KPIs.
Cash Flow & Treasury
· Monitor daily cash flow, collections, and supplier payments to ensure liquidity.
· Oversee store-level cash collection, banking, and reconciliation processes.
Operational Support
· Partner with store operations and merchandising to optimise stock levels, margins, and promotions.
· Support financial planning for new store openings, including licensing costs and capex tracking.
Internal Controls & Compliance
· Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
· Lead internal and external audit processes, addressing queries and implementing recommendations.
Leadership
· Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring clear role allocation (AP, AR, GL, master data).
· Drive process improvements and automation in reporting and systems.
· Develop team capabilities through coaching and training.
· Build strong cross-functional relationships and provide financial guidance to leadership teams.
What We Are Looking For
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, P&L management, and business partnering.
· Strong knowledge of financial analysis and strategy, with advanced Excel skills.
· Experience in Retail, FMCG, or Hospitality is a plus.
· Strong commercial and business acumen; able to break down problems and present clear insights.
· Hands-on, agile, and solutions-driven — comfortable in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
