As an IT Intern, you will support the Information Technology team in maintaining Qra's IT infrastructure, providing end-user technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of technology systems across the business. This internship offers hands-on exposure to IT helpdesk operations, hardware and software support, Microsoft 365 administration, networking fundamentals, IT asset management, and infrastructure maintenance.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and enjoys solving technical problems. You will work closely with experienced IT professionals while developing practical skills that prepare you for a future career in IT support and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Helpdesk & End-User Support

• Provide first-level technical support to employees. 
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, POS, and basic network-related issues. 
• Assist with user account creation, modification, password resets, and Microsoft 365 administration. 
• Monitor and update IT support tickets to ensure timely issue resolution. 

Hardware & Asset Management

• Set up and configure laptops, desktops, printers, and peripheral devices. 
• Perform PC formatting, operating system installation, and software deployment. 
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory records. 
• Conduct workstation inspections, preventive maintenance, and support hardware replacement activities. 

Network & Infrastructure Support

• Assist in monitoring network devices, internet connectivity, and WiFi performance. 
• Support basic network troubleshooting involving switches, firewalls, and VLANs. 
• Assist with backup verification and infrastructure health checks. 
• Support server room, UPS, and IT equipment maintenance activities. 

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare and update IT documentation, SOPs, and user guides. 
• Maintain IT operational records and reports. 
• Support IT projects and technology improvement initiatives. 
• Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and user support workflows.  

Job Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Diploma or Degree student in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing and WiFi connectivity). 
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills in IT support, infrastructure, and systems administration. 
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities. 
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. 
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment. 
• Detail-oriented with good organizational and documentation skills. 
• Experience assembling, troubleshooting, or maintaining computer hardware is an advantage. 
• Interest in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or systems administration is preferred.
