Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be the financial backbone of the business. 🔥 Your Mission (Core Responsibilities)

You will own the full spectrum of our financial operations:

• Financial Leadership & Reporting:
  
• Lead, mentor, and guide the accounts team in daily operations, resolving complex AR, AP, and GL issues.
• Prepare monthly financial closings, reconcile ledgers, and present accurate financial performance results to management.
• Lead and refine internal control standards, company policies, and financial processes to prepare the company for scale.
  
• Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
• Manage overall cash flow, review daily bank balances, and allocate funds effectively for outgoing payments.
• Oversee trade line utilization and guide your team in preparing and submitting BAs, LCs, BGs, and TRs.
• Chair weekly AR collection meetings with the sales team to flag and resolve critical collection issues.
  
• Project Accounting & Costs:
• Review and validate cost and expense updates in project P&Ls.
• Manage job cards specifically for loose furniture sales and ensure absolute accuracy in project reporting.
  
• Compliance, Tax & Payroll:
• Liaise closely with banks, auditors, the company secretary, and tax/government authorities.
• Prepare tax returns, consult with our tax agent on compliance, and oversee SST filings.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing and ensure all statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB) are perfectly executed.

Job Requirements

⚡ Who We Are Looking For

• The Experience: You possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, backed by at least eight (8) years of finance experience, including a minimum of three (3) years in a managerial capacity.
• The Industry Edge: Experience handling construction accounts and project reporting is highly preferred.
• Technical Mastery: You have strong technical knowledge of tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting. You are proficient in AutoCount and Microsoft Excel, and familiar with Google Workspace.
• The Communicator: You possess excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into simple, actionable terms for stakeholders. (Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage).
• The Mindset: You are highly meticulous, resourceful, and capable of working independently while fostering a collaborative team environment. Ability to start at short notice is a major plus!
