AutoCAD Drafter – Job Scope

1. Technical Drawings & Drafting

• Prepare and produce detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD (and other drafting software if required).
   
• Create plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings based on design concepts.
   
• Update drawings according to mark-ups, feedback, or site conditions.
   
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, codes, and project requirements.
   

2. Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with engineers, designers, architects, project managers, and site teams.
   
• Assist in resolving design and technical issues related to drawings.
   
• Coordinate drawing revisions and maintain clear documentation.
   

3. Documentation & File Management

• Maintain and organise drawing files, templates, and documentation.
   
• Manage versions and ensure all drawings are up-to-date before submission.
   
• Prepare drawing sets for tender, authority submission, or construction.
   

4. Site-Related Tasks (If applicable)

• Attend site visits to take measurements or verify existing conditions.
   
• Update drawings based on site progress or changes.
   

5. Support Role

• Assist in preparing bill of materials, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
   
• Provide drafting support in tender submissions and project proposals.
   
• Report progress and issues to the lead designer/engineer.
   

Job Requirements

AutoCAD Drafter – Job Requirements

1. Education & Qualification

• Diploma/Certificate in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
   
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D is a plus).
   

2. Technical Skills

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
   
• Familiar with producing plans, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings.
   
• Basic understanding of construction methods or M&E/ID/structural (depending on industry).
   
• Advantage if skilled in:
   
• SketchUp / Revit / SolidWorks (optional)
   
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
   

3. Experience

• At least 1–2 years of relevant drafting experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
   
• Experience in architectural / interior / engineering drawings is an added advantage.
   

4. Soft Skills

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
   
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
   
• Able to work under deadlines with minimal supervision.
   
• Good problem-solving and willingness to learn.
   

5. Other Requirements

• Able to handle multiple tasks and follow instructions from engineers/designers.
   
• Willing to attend site visits when required.
   
• Responsible, disciplined, and organised with file/document control.
