As a vital part of our team, our ideal interns will have the opportunity to contribute to the planning of creative social impact campaigns and programs within our organisation. If you're a natural multitasker, adept at juggling various project components, then this is the perfect role for you. You'll need to be highly organised, capable of managing your time, workflow, and schedules to meet deadlines. Throughout the internship, you'll learn to build and nurture strong relationships with public and private sector partners, as well as the youth we aim to empower. You will be guided by our programme associates who have experiences in the field where you are able to learn from and hone your talent.

Internship Scope:

Media Outreach and Relations

• Assist with media engagements such as pitching stories, scheduling interviews, disseminating materials, making media calls, etc

Monitoring and Reporting

• Monitor media & social coverage, calculate campaign results
• Assist with updating and producing PR reports

PR Materials Development

• Assist with the drafting of press releases, briefing documents, interview pitches and other communication materials
• Assist with creative copywriting and simple ENG-BM translation
• Support social team with content creation for corporate and campaign channels
• Cross-collaborate with programme and social teams to align on comms initiatives

Job Requirements

We're looking for candidates who possess the following qualities:

• Students from any communications discipline - fresh graduates, are welcomed!
• Excellent written and verbal skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English proficiency is a must.
• Outgoing personality with eagerness to learn and take on tasks, a proactive mindset.
• Availability for a minimum commitment of 3 months or more.
• Willingness to take on challenges and contribute your skills and knowledge to a specific team.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Microsoft Office, and basic media monitoring platforms; knowledge of social listening and management tools a plus!
• Creative, driven and interested in being part of curating and managing impact campaigns for Ratio:Cause and its campaigns
