The Programme Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective management and delivery of programmes and initiatives in line with the organisation’s strategic direction and programme goals.
This role focuses on translating the organisation’s strategies into actionable implementation plans, ensuring that all programme activities are carried out efficiently, within budget, and according to established standards. The Manager oversees the team operations, coordinates with partners, monitors progress, and ensures reporting and learning processes support continuous improvement.
The role supports reporting, budgeting, and process improvements, while providing guidance and supervision to programme associates ensuring that implementation reflects the organisation’s priorities, values, and long-term impact goals&nbsp;

Key Responsibilities
Programme Management &amp; Strategic Alignment
<ul>
<li>Oversee and coordinate the implementation of programmes and initiatives in alignment with the organisation’s strategic priorities and objectives.</li>
<li>Translate programme strategies into operational plans, work schedules, and measurable outputs.</li>
<li>Ensure that all programme activities are executed within scope, budget, and timeline, and adhere to organisational and donor standards.</li>
<li>Work closely with strategy or thematic leads to ensure operations reflect intended outcomes and impact pathways.</li>
<li>Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure programme continuity and quality.</li>
</ul>
Monitoring, Evaluation &amp; Reporting
<ul>
<li>Track and review programme progress, performance indicators, and milestones to assess implementation effectiveness.</li>
<li>Consolidate and prepare regular reports and updates for management, partners, and funders.</li>
<li>Support programme reflection and learning sessions to strengthen operational performance and alignment with strategy.</li>
<li>Ensure documentation of best practices, case studies, and lessons learned from programme operations.</li>

Financial &amp; Administrative Oversight
<ul>
<li>Ensuring programme budgets and expenditure compliance with financial procedures and accountability requirements.</li>
<li>Support budget forecasting and revisions to reflect strategic or operational shifts.</li>

Team Leadership &amp; Capacity Support

<li>Supervise and guide the programme associates clarity of roles, deliverables, and timelines.</li>

Stakeholder &amp; Partner Coordination

Continuous Improvement &amp; Compliance
