Job Description
The Social Media Associate role under our award winning social impact agency, Ratio:Cause will be responsible for engaging with our audience and driving our digital presence across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media trends, content creation and analytics with a passion for social impact, environment, and civic engagement. You will be responsible for maintaining the brand’s social channels (RatioCause, Project Liber8, OnlineSafety IRL and other campaigns social platforms), ensuring the visual is appealing and eye-catching, and adopting content trends relevant to our audience. This role includes planning, creating, and executing highly engaging, innovative social media and digital content across social media platforms and amplifying brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy Development
- Research social media trends, including target audience’s behaviour, competitor analysis (in terms of issue focused/relevancy), and activities.
- Develop social media strategies, identifying key platforms and content pillars.
- Establish clear, measurable goals for social media performance, such as follower growth and engagement rates.
- Support the design and implementation of social media campaigns aligned with programme initiatives and campaign launches.
- Stay updated with the latest social media trends and platform updates to ensure the brand remains relevant.
- Manage and track social media campaign budget and optimise impact results
Content Creation and Management
- Ideate and create creative concepts and strategies across all social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) to showcase issues and campaigns we are working on along with building brand awareness.
- Film, edit, and upload short-form engaging content across all social media platforms in a timely manner.
- Develop,plan,and maintain a monthly content calendar, and advanced calendar planning.
- Craft compelling, on-brand copy for social media posts that appeal to the target audience.
- Work with external editors, graphic designers, creators as and when needed for campaign needs
Community Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and tags across all social media platforms, fostering positive interactions.
- Drive and manage community engagement and growth, monitoring feedback and interacting with the community across multiple social media platforms encouraging brand loyalty. Plan, coordinate, and execute social media activities, events, and social media activations.
- Gather and analyse feedback from social media interactions to inform programme and campaign development and achieving impact improvements.
