Job Summary

The Equipment Engineer (Finishing Process) is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving equipment performance for vision machines, packaging machines, and AMR systems to ensure stable operations and achievement of production targets. The role requires close collaboration with production, process teams, vendors, and machine makers to drive continuous improvement, enhance equipment reliability, and support smart factory initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment breakdown recovery and execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Support production operations, including machine conversion, equipment setup, and process adjustments to meet output requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve equipment-related issues such as production loss, over-rejection, long index time, and quality concerns, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Liaise with vendors and machine makers to address technical issues, coordinate improvements, and support new equipment introduction or transfer.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives on OEE, equipment poka-yoke features, parameter optimization, and ABL reduction to enhance efficiency and stability.
  • Maintain workplace discipline through 5S practices, proper documentation, and establishment of preventive maintenance and operational standards.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, or related Engineering field from a recognized higher institution.
  • Strong technical knowledge in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and resolve equipment issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and data analysis.
  • Candidates with 2–3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or manufacturing industries.

Good-to-Have:

  • Knowledge of semiconductor product development, quality improvement methods, and basic financial awareness.
  • Familiarity with high-growth, fast-paced, and dynamic production environments.
  • Exposure to automation, AMR, and smart factory initiatives.
