Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests warmly upon arrival, presenting menus and informing them of any daily specials.
  • Provide detailed information about the menu, including ingredients, potential food allergies, and cooking methods specific to seafood dishes.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and them efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Serve food and drinks in a timely and professional manner, ensuring order accuracy and appealing presentation.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, refilling drinks, and promptly addressing any requests or concerns.
  • Process payments (cash and card transactions) accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic dining area and personal workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with all team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy shifts.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Previous work experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a similar food service role is preferred (at least 1 year).
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Malaysia are required. Mandarin speaking is an added advantage.
  • Customer Service: A customer-oriented approach and a friendly, positive attitude are essential.
  • Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry heavy trays of food and dishes.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Food Safety: Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per restaurant needs.
