Job Summary:

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Microsoft 365 E5 security workload adoptions. This includes managing cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring successful deployment of the Microsoft 365 E5 security workloads. You will lead the steering committee and project team members throughout the entire project lifecycle phases. Your expertise will ensure end-to-end project coverage for advanced security capabilities such as Microsoft Defender XDR, Information Protection, Identity Governance, and Compliance solutions.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage expectations of stakeholders and project team members with the delivery of project deliverables in a timed manner. and analyze data flows, gather regulatory, compliance, and business requirements, and translate these into robust technical designs and policy frameworks. You will develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and risk registers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Governance, define project scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals.
• Establish governance structures, including stakeholder roles, RBAC assignments, and escalation paths.
• Oversee deployment of Microsoft 365 E5 Security Workloads such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, and Microsoft Purview solutions.
• Coordinate configuration of Microsoft 365 E5 Security Workloads such as Conditional Access, Insider Risk Management, and Data Loss Prevention policies.
• Ensure integration with existing SIEM tools and infrastructure.
• Ensure and manage stakeholder Engagement, Communication and Expectations
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with security SMEs, architects, and business owners.
• Provide regular updates to executive sponsors and technical leads.
• Manage expectations and ensure alignment across IT, compliance, and business units.
• Lead testing and validation of security configurations and alerting mechanisms.
• Coordinate readiness assessments and gap analysis using tools like the M365 Security Assessment Questionnaire.
• Support user education and change management initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including configuration baselines, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
• Ensure smooth transition to operations teams with clear support models and escalation paths.

Skills and experiences

• Proven experience managing enterprise-scale security or Microsoft 365 projects.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 E5 security workloads and architecture.
• Familiarity with NIST, compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Project Management, Microsoft Security or equivalent certification preferred.
