Job Summary:

Experienced Senior Backend Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Digital Banking Chapter team. The ideal candidate will possess strong backend development skills using Java and Spring Boot, with experience working in complex enterprise environments. This role also benefits from exposure to DevOps practices, Camel (CXF), Spring Batch, and legacy technologies like JSP. The SME will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services for digital banking applications deployed across HPUX, Linux, and Solaris platforms with Oracle as the backend database.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead backend development initiatives and provide expert-level guidance on Java and Spring Boot technologies.
• Design and develop scalable, high-performance APIs and backend services for digital banking applications.
• Work closely with business analysts, front-end teams, and DevOps to ensure smooth integration and delivery.
• Participate in system architecture design and technical solutioning.
• Review code, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure adherence to coding and security standards. Guide junior developers and act as a technical mentor.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support automation where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development
• Deep understanding of enterprise-grade application development Solid understanding of backend architecture and performance tuning
• Experience working with Oracle databases

Nice to have

• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Apache Camel (CXF) and Spring Batch
• Familiarity with JSP, Unix scripting, WebLogic Server, SQL, and JavaScript Knowledge of Digital Banking platforms or domain-specific implementations
