The Position

Connecting Patients to Supply Chain - The Customer Value Stream Partner builds mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external partners and customers to enable Roche to deliver life changing healthcare.

Possessing a deep understanding of the Healthcare Ecosystem and Roche’s End to End Value Streams to Patients, the Supply Chain Solutions Lead collaborates and innovates to identify, plan, implement and deliver sustainable supply chain solutions for optimal patient care.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Deliver value-adding solutions in Supply Chain

  • Accountable for identifying and implementing value adding solutions in the healthcare ecosystem (e.g. distribution strategies, enhancing customer experience, optimizing cost to serve).

  • Partner closely with Disease Area teams to address customer challenges and opportunities from a Supply Chain perspective.

  • Deeply understand the external healthcare environment and customer / patient segments and needs.

  • Co-create with stakeholders to translate insights into business opportunities, by designing and implementing supply chain solutions.

  • Benchmark to understand market trends and new technologies.

  • Understand Roche’s future pipeline and build capabilities in the Affiliate to support launch success.

Finished Goods forecast

  • Accountable for the 0-12M Finished Goods volume forecast leveraging on predictive analytics and insights.

  • Understand future demand by identifying significant events in the next 12 months and by developing knowledge on market dynamics of key products.

  • Drive the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process with key Affiliate stakeholders to translate business insights & requirements into the operational business plan in alignment with the Event Driven Planning (EDP) to ensure supply availability for our customers and patients.

Additional accountabilities

  • Lead the market assessment and strategies response with Disease Area teams in the event of supply issues escalation.

  • Partner closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure cohesiveness in Supply Chain strategies.

  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as required by business.

  • Support the Logistics team to ensure cohesiveness in supply chain strategies.

  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time as required by business.

Competencies & Experience

  • Ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders, being comfortable with facing customers on a regular basis

  • Deep understanding of the external healthcare environment and customer / patient needs

  • Ability to translate customer needs into solutions

  • Understanding of Supply Chain processes

  • Strong communicator and connector between the Commercial Teams and Supply Chain

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in pharmacy, business administration, economics, logistics, or related discipline

  • Fluent in English

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant commercial, or supply chain experience, preferably in the healthcare industry

  • Business planning and analysis experience

  • Very good MS Excel / Google suite skills
