Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities
(Major functions of the position)
Operational Excellence:
Maintains strategic responsibility for process improvement for the team.
Provides leadership and coaching for improvement and optimization projects covering Forecasting, Supply Planning and Warehouse & Distribution.
Oversee & conduct training in continuous improvement methodologies.
Facilitates dialogues between leaders of operational excellence projects and sponsors.
Oversees business process management and the teams supporting continuous improvement
Supports all areas of supply chain operations in identification and problem solving solutions.
Drive continuous improvement through High Performance Organization (HPO) and VACC leadership behaviors.
Lead and Coaching Lean Six Sigma Projects as needed.
Data and analytics:
Analytics support for performance metrics analysis and study data patterns to derive data insights.
Analyze existing data from legacy systems, identify and implement improvement opportunities to ensure data is accurate and optimized.
Work across the PTSR China team with the respective POCs in the team.
Serve as SME and POC for key systems and processes:
Systems include OMP, BW Reporting (DPCS), S&OP Dashboard, Tableau (Inventory Projection Report, New Demand KPI) , SCOT, the backlog and stock out portal
Understand global E2E business processes and identify improvement opportunities through the use of additional data
Network with other SME, SPOC, and BPM in systems, analytics, and demand management space to stay abreast of global and regional trends and activities, share experiences, and gain best practices
Business Support:
Coordinate stakeholders to develop a Business Plan as part of team strategy. Leads and maintains strategy realization.
Lead functions to development, implementation and monitoring of team’s goals and KPI’s through strategy deployment.
Establish and oversee team’s project portfolio which includes ASPIRE, SCOM, and any other business projects.
Provides oversight for the Business Continuity Management.
Lead and drive the China Risk & Opportunity (R&O) Management, and be a standing member with the PTSR Group R&O team.
Promote PTSR China level communication and sharing through network.
Leadership & People Management:
In the spirit of continuous improvement and risk management, identify learning opportunities to build team capability.
Within PTSR China to influence to drive outcomes.
Be the link between Local and Global, vice versa to elevate China’s role in the Global network.
Work across the Global network to build China’s capabilities as well as cross share our learnings and experiences.
Qualification and Experience
Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Black Belt or higher as a plus
Critical Experiences:
5+ years experience in Healthcare/Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry, including experience in supply chain, data and analytics, and reporting
Of which minimum 2 years of Operational Excellence related professional experience
Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement programs with quantifiable business results
Experience working in and influencing decisions in matrix organizations

Strong familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile
Expertise in standard analysis and presentation software (Excel, PowerPoint, gSuite) with ability to organize and visualize data in a compelling manner
Excellent communication skills across a range of boundaries (regional and functional) and in a variety of settings (1-on-1, small groups, presentations)
Expert at story telling in terms of presentation skills
Proven track record of leadership, time-management, project management, and teamwork
Deep analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and influence without authority
