Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Cybersecurity Application Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving the success of cybersecurity business in Southeast Asia. You will engage with domain experts, sales, specialty sellers and customers presale to lead delivery engagements and better understand scope requirements. This resource is the proposal team's subject matter expert for the customer, sales organization, and Business Unit and leads engagement requirements of Cybersecurity and comprehensive delivery offerings from RA, partners, and competitors in Cyber and Network expertise areas.

You will have a Cybersecurity technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology, products, services, and solutions within their area(s) of expertise, Experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect capability, defining scope and benefits of portfolio to customers. They manage commercial offer, presales support, and is a trusted advisor to the sales organization and channel. They are responsible for technical support in pre-sales activities and support bid offer activities for Cybersecurity and Network within SEA.

You will report to App Con Manager, SEA LCS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead scope definition, design and recommend Network, virtualization and Cybersecurity infrastructure and associated configuration changes.
  • Design customer secure manufacturing architectures and provide vision, problem anticipation, and to customers.
  • Work with Sales, Consultants and Specialists to assess and respond to IT/OT, engineering, consulting, project and support services opportunities
  • Understand the customers need and be able to position and quote a desired outcome for a solution
  • Management of the process from Bid Request, Information gathering, Scope definition, Solution design and costing, and Approvals – Collaborate with Sales, Solution Consultants, Sales Specialists, Engineering, Services, and your peer proposal teams regional/global.
  • Demonstrate the ability to expand the scope of solutions requested by incorporating the full portfolio of Rockwell Automation offerings, including: Connected Services, Process/Power & Control/Information Solutions, Packaged Power, and local Field Labor.
  • Makes full use of Global estimating tools and Global Engineering Center Proposal resources
  • Advise Consultants and Sales on proposal generation, validation, and presentations for executive level customers
  • Share insights with peers regionally and globally.
  • Understand business models, organization, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Knowledge of industry strategies, familiarity with outcome-based selling.
  • Managing specialized with confidence and competence
  • Requires above Experience maintaining an organized and up-to-date pipeline of opportunities, concern for the exact correctness of work, and commitment to tasks completed
  • Take work seriously and is disciplined
  • Somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position
  • Detailed, specialized work is the major focus
  • Job requires clearly defined work, responsibilities, and reporting relationships, ongoing and Experience creating detailed demos that are tailored to customers' pain points training opportunities to develop expertise and increase confidence, and frequently expressed appreciation of the person's competence, conscientiousness, and loyalty.
  • Provides security in a stable work environment, allowing individual to plan for, focus on and complete tasks on hand
  • When changes in the nature of the work occur, you will receive direction, training and support
  • The position will generally requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical related field or equivalent.
  • Experience designing and deploying network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls) within an Industrial Network
  • Familiarity with a variety of networking and security concepts and practices, to include manufacturing and enterprise network convergence, network protocols, communication optimization, application effects on system performance and human exploitation techniques on the manufacturing network.
  • Understanding of multiple industry standards including ISA, ANSI, NEMA, NERC, IDC, NEC and NIST standards. Specific focus on NIST 800-82, NERC-CIP, IEC-62443 Standards would be an added benefit
  • Referable having Recognized Network Certification (CCNA Industrial, CCNA / CCNP / CCIE Routing and Switching/Wireless, VCA, VCP, Cisco INS, GICSP, CISSP)
  • 8+ years pre-sales, direct sales or consulting experience as an estimator, proposal engineer or other contract, project or application engineering-focused position
  • Demonstrated understanding of Network, virtualization and Cybersecurity infrastructure.
  • Good application and industry knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to work with both internal and external customers
  • Solution and application expertise, and related demonstrated sales experience.
  • Fluency with native language and command of English (written & spoken).
  • Ability to work with and gain confidence of senior level personnel (internal and external) in a collaborative, matrixed partner organization.
  • Ability to align critical partners.
