Job Description

1. To plan, organize, lead and manage the department’s daily operation especially in the technical design, engineering, development, construction, installation of civil & structural works for project implementation as well as for tender submission when required.
2. To monitor and ensure subordinate staff executes duties as per requirement and provide continual learning and on job trainings, as required. 
3. To monitor and review preparation, compilation and submission of civil & structural design’s document and drawings to Clients / Consultants for approval.
4. To be familiar with the contract documents (i.e., conditions, scope, specification, etc) and scheduling of works program of assigned contracts.
5. Liaise with government departments, consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers and principals in relation to regulations, guidelines, technical design and specification requirements.
6. Carry out supervision of subordinates and sub-contractors at the project site to ensure efficient implementation of work relating to civil and structural.
7. Assist in negotiation for best pricing and terms for all major material and sub-contracting works for the assigned contracts.
8. To assist Proposal Department in performing tender bidding activities as and when required.
9. Carry out assignments as requested / instructed by the immediate superior/ Management.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with Professional Engineer license (PE).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the analysis and design of concrete and steel structures and coordination of multi-discipline design of which 5 years in Managerial level.
• Relevant experience in Water Treatment Plant Design and Built and/or Maintenance of Civil & Structural works would be an added advantage.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering deliverables such as drawings, specifications, and material requisitions and of construction methods for concrete and steel structures.
• Independent, result-oriented with strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills as well as a team player.
