Job Description
We are looking for a Video Creator who understands not just how to produce content, but why it works. At Sashimi Asia, this role sits at the core of our short-form content engine, responsible for turning client strategies and campaign ideas into high-volume, high-performing videos on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. You will operate with the mindset of a newsroom: spotting trends fast, developing hooks and formats, producing content at scale, and using performance data to make every next batch sharper than the last. If you believe in speed over perfection, native behaviour over corporate polish, and iteration over one-off production, this role is built for you.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Run a consistent, high-volume short-form production system
Ensure Sashimi Asia can produce TikTok, Reels, and Shorts content at scale, with clear workflows for ideation, scripting, shooting, editing, approvals, and publishing handover. Productions must be faster, more consistent, and more repeatable over time, not dependent on one-off effort.
- Produce videos that earn attention and hold it
Deliver short-form videos that go beyond looking good, with sharp hooks, platform-appropriate pacing, captions, creator language, and formats that reflect how audiences actually consume content in-feed. Understand the difference between videos that are visually polished and videos that are likely to work, and consistently produce the latter.
- Develop formats that can be turned into recurring series
Identify and build repeatable content formulas that scale across clients and campaigns - turning single ideas into episodic formats that produce multiple outputs, reduce production time, and improve creative consistency over time.
- Turn performance data into better video creative
Treat performance signals — hooks, retention, completion, watch time, saves, shares, comments, and engagement, as creative inputs, not a report card. Each batch of content should reflect what was learned from the previous one, with a clear point of view on what to improve, test, or retire.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate briefs into platform-ready concepts quickly
Convert client strategies and campaign ideas into concrete hooks, scripts, and shoot plans that the production team can act on immediately, without lengthy back-and-forth or unclear direction.
- Support efficient shoots that maximise content output
Plan and execute shoots with a multi-output mindset, capturing footage that can be edited into multiple versions, formats, and lengths, reducing the need for reshoots and maximising the value of every production day.
- Collaborate effectively across the production and client team
Work well with editors, videographers, talents, account managers, and clients, ensuring production decisions are communicated clearly, timelines are respected, and creative intent is not lost between brief and final output.
- Contribute to a culture of creative learning and iteration
Actively participate in post-campaign reviews, share performance observations with the team, and model a mindset of testing over personal preference, helping Sashimi Asia become a sharper, faster, and more learnable content agency over time.
