Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspection of machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical or electrical issues
• Carry out preventive maintenance as scheduled
• Respond quickly to machine breakdowns to minimize downtime
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors for machine repair and servicing
• Monitor and follow up on repair progress and service schedules
• Maintain maintenance records and reports

Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs

• Carry out routine inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance on production machines to keep equipment reliable.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults promptly to reduce downtime and restore production.
• Perform basic welding, piping repairs and mechanical adjustments to maintain part integrity.

Vendor & Records Management

• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for spare parts and external servicing, ensuring jobs finish on time.
• Track service schedules and follow up on repair progress until equipment is returned to production.
• Maintain clear maintenance logs and prepare concise reports for supervisors after each task.

Safety & Uptime

• Carry out safety checks and ensure machines operate within required safety standards before use.
• Note recurring faults and suggest practical adjustments to reduce repeat breakdowns.
• Respond to machine breakdowns on short notice and carry out safe, structured repairs to restore operations.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• You hold at least a Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or a related field, or equivalent trade certification.
• Experience in factory maintenance is an advantage and helps you adapt quickly to our production environment.
• Previous hands-on work with production equipment, assembly lines or heavy machinery is preferred.
• You are willing to work shift patterns or overtime when production requires it.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• You have solid basic knowledge of machinery maintenance and practical troubleshooting for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Practical welding and piping repair skills are required, as noted in the draft.
• Basic electrical wiring and motor troubleshooting experience is beneficial for daily fault fixing.
• Familiarity with maintenance logs or a simple CMMS is a plus and will help you document work efficiently.

• You can work independently and also collaborate within a small team during shifts.
• You are responsible, disciplined and open to learning new techniques on the job.
• You communicate clearly when handing over tasks and when reporting faults to supervisors.
