Position Description:

The Buyer is responsible for obtaining quotations from suppliers, raising purchase orders, expediting orders and maintaining supplier relationships, Issuing and analysing RFQ to supply base.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards, work instructions and KPI’s.
• Place all Purchase Orders for assigned/supplier spend.
• Obtain order confirmations within agreed timelines.
• Manage delivery of all orders and expedite accordingly.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
• Support Senior Buyer/s on delivery of Score Group Procurement strategies.
• Assist Stores team with any delivery queries.
• Where applicable mentor Buyer’s with less experience within the Team.
• Assisting Accounts team with resolving invoice queries in a timely manner.
• Issue and manage requests for quotations to supply base
• Awareness of Fraud/Irregularities.
• Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience within Supply Chain environment,
• Sound working knowledge of MS office package – word, excel and PowerPoint.
• Relevant experience with ERP systems

Experience:

• Experience within a similar role preferred however not essential as training will be provided.  
• A Senior Buyer position typically requires 3–5+ years of intensive experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
