Job Description

 

Business Partnering

  • Partner with the immediate superior to address accounting and operational queries from other departments, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Support finance-related change initiatives.
  • Prepare analysis to facilitate management decision-making.
  • Research, analyze, and advise on the impact of new and evolving accounting standards, (I) / IFRS) , and support implementation of required changes across entities.

Entity Financial Reporting, Oversight & Process Excellence

  • Actively coach and upskill team members, fostering a high-performance culture

and strengthening bench strength within the finance sub-team

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management, regulators, and external

stakeholders.

  1. Review and challenge the entities’ budget and forecast submissions compiled from various finance functions, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.
  2. Lead coordination with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely provision of documentation and robust explanations.

  4. Provide variance analysis and highlight key risks, opportunities, and assumptions to management.
  5. Ensure consistency in financial assumptions, methodologies, and reporting across entities
  • Oversee the preparation of financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies and variances.
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, advising management on necessary adjustments.
  • Design and implement process improvements to standardize workflows, enhance automation, and improve efficiency across financial processes.
  1. Create, implement, and regularly update templates to drive consistency, comparability, and efficiency across entities.
  • Proficient in tax provision accounting and deferred tax computation in compliance with accounting standards.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong focus on financial reporting and compliance.
  • Proven experience managing accounts of large and complex entities
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a demonstrated desire to probe deeper into data to uncover insights that reveal underlying issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience in the offshore, marine or energy industries and accounting knowledge of long-term construction contracts are highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; Experience with SAP S4 Hana and Power Query is a plus.
  • Long term secondment at overseas - Brazil
