Job Description

• Provide confidential individual and group counselling to students experiencing various mental health conditions, emotional challenges, and personal development needs, primarily through brief therapeutic interventions.

• Deliver comprehensive counselling services and psychological assessments in accordance with the confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines set by the Malaysian Board of Counsellors.

• Facilitate group counselling sessions to foster cohesion among participants, strengthen interpersonal connections, and support deeper self-awareness and personal insight.

• Maintain accurate and confidential counselling records in compliance with established guidelines, ensuring proper tracking and evaluation of counselling services.

• Plan and conduct both internal and external mental health-related programs aimed at supporting personal growth and self-development, including coaching initiatives to enhance students' capabilities and co-curricular experiences.

• Advocate for and promote positive mental health among students from diverse cultural backgrounds, while upholding professional boundaries and ethical counselling standards.

• Assist with administrative and departmental tasks, actively contributing to teamwork and collaborating closely with other student support services within the institution.

• Attend relevant meetings to provide updates on student development and progress within the college environment.
