Job Description

  • Review architectural, structural and M&E drawings and specifications. 
  • Perform quantity take-off and prepare Bill of Quantities (BQ). 
  • Prepare project cost estimates, budgets and cost reports. 
  • Prepare tender documents and evaluate contractors'/suppliers' quotations. 
  • Source and negotiate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. 
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure they are within budget. 
  • Review and verify progress claims and payments. 
  • Prepare and evaluate Variation Orders (VO). 
  • Conduct site measurements and verify completed works. 
  • Assist in value engineering and cost-saving exercises. 
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams. 
  • Attend site and project meetings when required. 
  • Handle contract documentation and final accounts. 

Job Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field. 
  • Experience in construction/development projects is preferred. 
  • Able to read and understand construction drawings. 
  • Knowledge of BQ, costing, tendering, claims and VO. 
  • Good communication, negotiation and Microsoft Excel skills. 
  • Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
