Job Description

The Logistics Controller is responsible for monitoring and optimizing end-to-end logistics operations, including transportation activities, inventory control, and order fulfillment. This role ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and timely distribution of goods while maintaining accurate documentation and resolving operational discrepancies.

Key responsibilities include managing stock levels, tracking shipments, coordinating with carriers and suppliers, and utilizing logistics software to monitor operational performance. The Logistics Controller also works closely with warehouse, procurement, and operations teams to ensure smooth logistics processes and maintain supply chain efficiency.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfillment: Coordinating the daily receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Inventory & Stock Control: Auditing warehouse stock, managing inventory levels, and maintaining accurate data on stock movements.
  • Logistics Coordination: Scheduling shipments, tracking transportation, and managing documentation (e.g., invoices, shipping documents).
  • Supply Chain Management: Troubleshooting delays, improving supply chain efficiency, and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Preparing reports on transport and supply chain KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Job Requirements

  • Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of warehouse management, distribution, and transportation protocols.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (like SAP), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze shipping data to identify bottlenecks and perform root cause analysis for discrepancies.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Ability to manage relations with carriers and suppliers, as highlighted by.
