Job Description

Tax Compliance

• Prepare and review corporate and individual tax computations in accordance with the Income Tax Act 1967 
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns 
• Review tax payments and estimated tax liabilities 
• Maintain proper documentation in compliance with LHDN requirements 

Tax Advisory

• Provide advisory support on Malaysian tax matters including withholding tax (WHT), tax incentives, capital allowances, and exemptions 
• Assist in tax planning to enhance tax efficiency while ensuring compliance 

Liaison & Communication

• Liaise with LHDN on tax queries, audits, and investigations 
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders on tax-related matters 
• Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients when required 

Supervision & Reporting

• Review work completed by junior staff and provide guidance 
• Share updates on new tax regulations and public rulings within the team 
• Prepare tax reports and analysis for management

Job Requirements

Education & Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field 
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA) is an added advantage 

Experience

• 2–4 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a professional services firm 

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and LHDN guidelines 
• Familiar with MyTax and MySST portals 

Additional Requirement

• Able to communicate in Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients
