Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at SFAI Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, general ledger accuracy, and maintaining strong internal controls to ensure reliable financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting

• Ensure accuracy and proper classification of all General Ledger (GL) entries 
• Lead monthly and annual financial closing cycles, ensuring timely and accurate reporting 

2. General Ledger & Reconciliation

• Maintain integrity of the General Ledger by reviewing journal entries and adjustments 
• Oversee bank, intercompany, suspense, accrual, and prepaid reconciliations 
• Manage the full fixed asset cycle, including additions, disposals, and depreciation 

3. Internal Controls & Audit

• Develop and monitor internal control systems to safeguard company assets 
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 
• Professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / CIMA or equivalent) is preferred 

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role 
• Experience in audit firms is an added advantage
