Role purpose

This internship is about building reliable store systems and inventory habits that scale as we grow. You will help design simple workflows and keep stock moving smoothly so our in-store and online sales run without surprises.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Control

• Receive deliveries and verify items against purchase orders and packing lists, noting any discrepancies.
• Organise shelves and back stock to make picking efficient and to keep counts accurate.
• Support regular stock counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Label and tag stock correctly so items are easy to find and sell.

Warehouse & Store Operations

• Assist with inbound and outbound packing so store and online orders leave on time.
• Keep storeroom areas clean, safe, and organised to meet safety and accessibility needs.
• Help arrange visual displays and replenish shop floor items to maintain presentation standards.
• Operate basic equipment like trolleys and hand scanners under supervision.

Data, Reporting & Process

• Record daily stock movements and update simple logs to help the team spot issues early.
• Prepare short reports on low stock items and slow moving SKUs for the buying team.
• Suggest small process improvements based on what you see during daily tasks.
• Follow stock handling and loss prevention procedures to protect company inventory.

Requirements - MALE CANDIDATES

Qualifications & Experience

• 0 years of formal experience required; this is an entry internship role suited to students or recent school leavers.
• Minimum education: Ongoing diploma or bachelor.
• Available to work retail hours including weekends and peak seasonal periods.
• Physically able to handle lifting, standing, and moving stock safely during shifts.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Basic computer literacy, including MS Excel for simple tables and counts.
• Comfort using barcode scanners, POS basics, and simple inventory logs.
• Familiarity with stocktaking methods and basic store layout principles is preferred.
• Good numeracy for counting and reconciling stock quantities.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Attention to detail to spot mismatches and keep records accurate.
• Clear communication to work closely with store staff, buyers, and shipping teams.
• Team orientated and willing to learn, take direction, and help where needed.
• Reliable time management and a proactive attitude to complete daily tasks.
