·  Ensure closing of monthly account and review all accounting schedules to ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly reporting.

·  Review account reconciliations to ensure correct accounting treatment is in place and no long outstanding items.

·  Ensure timely submission for all statutory report, month/quarterly management report, audit and ad hoc reporting.

·  Monitor, review and interpret accounting for revenue and expenditures by departments.

·  Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting standard and audit procedures.

·  Supervise Finance staff, include work allocation, training, and problem solving.

·  Actively participate in system implementation and maintenance.

·  Attend to queries from departmental heads on system/operations problem relating to financial aspects.

·  Responsible for controlling, maintenance and creation of chart of accounts.

·  Provide input towards any system modeling and testing to ensure that preventive controls are built in.

·  Monitor and maintain key accounting information for the operating unit within the finance system.

Budgetary Control and Variance / Profit Analysis

·  Prepare the annual budget and revised forecast.

·  Perform analytical review on variance between actual and budget.

·  Highlight to management on shortfall of KPI and potential improvement opportunities.

·  Participate in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short and long range planning

·  Participate in the implementation of projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals
