Company :

• The Technician is responsible for meeting local authority (DOSH) requirements as the Competent Person for the company in the manufacturing and repair of pressure vessels. This role also involves operating various types of machinery, such as rolling, bending, shearing, and drilling machines, and performing welding works as required.
• The role supports the production team in various tasks, including material handling, workshop improvements, and general repair and maintenance activities. This includes liaising with supervisors, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and contributing to a culture of safety within the workshop.

1)     Competent Person for Pressure Vessels:

o    Serve as the designated welder, fitter, and machine operator for the company under DOSH Certification, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

2)     Machinery Operation and Maintenance:

o    Operate machinery such as rolling, bending, shearing, and drilling machines in accordance with project requirements and safety guidelines.

o    Perform basic maintenance on these machines and ensure they are functioning optimally.

3)     Welding and Fitting Works:

o    Carry out welding tasks in line with the specific project’s Approved WPS/PQR (Welding Procedure Specifications/Procedure Qualification Records).

o    Perform general welding works as assigned, ensuring quality and safety compliance.

4)     General Workshop and Material Handling:

o    Assist with general workshop duties, including material handling, housekeeping, and maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.

o    Coordinate with subcontractors to support production and project operations as needed.

5)     Liaison with Supervisors and Team Members:

o    Work closely with supervisors to ensure tasks are planned and executed in line with quality standards and project timelines.

o    Liaise with QC personnel to ensure product quality and acceptance requirements are met.

6)     Safety Compliance:

o    Actively promote a safety-first culture by following all company safety procedures and participating in safety programs such as Take 5, Noggin and JSEA (Job Safety and Environmental Analysis).

Ensure compliance with company safety policies and local regulatory requirements (DOSH, PTW, etc.).
